Data Protection
Last updated 2026-03-18
1. Third parties who process data
We rely on processors for email delivery, classroom video bridges, chat hosting, survey collection, and accounting. Each processor receives only the data required for their function and is contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations consistent with Korean Personal Information Protection Act expectations.
When a processor changes, we update this section and notify active cohorts if the change materially affects risk. You may request the current list of sub-processors by emailing the contact address below.
We do not sell personal information to data brokers and we do not allow classroom chat vendors to train generalized AI models on your messages without explicit, separate consent.
2. Use of data
We use contact details to schedule sessions, send operational notices, and—if you opt in—share community digests. Attendance data helps us improve pacing and mentor assignments.
Diagnostic information from optional analytics cookies helps us understand which syllabus sections cause drop-off so we can rewrite them. Rejecting analytics does not remove essential cookies required for login or security.
We may publish aggregate statistics such as completion percentages that cannot identify individuals.
3. Retention
Enrollment contracts and invoices are retained for seven years to meet tax and audit expectations. Community posts remain until you delete them or close your account, after which we purge active copies within ninety days unless law enforcement requests a lawful hold.
Support emails are retained twenty-four months unless they contain contractual amendments, in which case they follow the contract retention schedule.
Backups may persist longer but are rotated on a schedule that ensures deleted data re-enters the active dataset only under restoration testing with access controls.
4. Data collected
Identifiers include name, employer, work email, phone number, and billing address. Technical identifiers include IP address, device type, and coarse geolocation inferred for fraud prevention.
Payment data is handled by our payment service provider; we store tokens and confirmation metadata, not full card numbers.
Optional profile fields such as time zone or focus area help mentors tag you appropriately and may be visible to other members according to your channel settings.
5. Your rights
Depending on your residency, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal data we control. Korean residents may also lodge complaints with the Personal Information Protection Commission.
We verify requests to prevent spoofing and may deny manifestly unfounded or excessive requests subject to applicable law.
Deletion may be impossible where we must retain records to defend legal claims or meet accounting duties; we will explain any limitation when responding.
6. Scope of this notice
This notice applies to glow-pulse.one properties operated by FiberForge Academy and to classroom activities we control. It does not govern independent sites run by partners who guest lecture unless those sites explicitly adopt our policies.
If you participate in a client-hosted private cohort, additional terms from your employer may apply alongside this notice.
Updates take effect on the posted date; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance unless you close your account before the effective date.
7. Contact
Questions about this notice or requests to exercise rights should go to academy@glow-pulse.one with subject line "Data request" and enough detail for us to locate your records.
Postal inquiries may be sent to the Gangnam address listed on the Contact page; include a secure way to respond if you do not want email replies.
We aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and complete them within thirty days unless complexity requires an extension permitted by law.
